“Dancing is a creation of a sculpture that is visible only for a moment “ Within the monotonous confines of everyday life, dance, especially folk dance, is that form of expression which brings us closer to our roots. Our rich and diverse folk heritage of India depicts tales of love, grief, joy and celebration, and speaks volumes about that particular region where it originated. On 29th July 2022, an Inter-house Folk Dance Competition was organised for the young Josephites from Classes I-IV in the Primary Auditorium. The mesmerizing dance by the little ones enthralled the audience to the fullest by their graceful performances. This competition was an ode to our folk heritage, with students performing dances from West Bengal to Maharashtra, and even Gujarat and Rajasthan. Competitions such as these are not only a great way to build self confidence and emotional resilience in a student but also helps in keeping the cultural heritage alive.
